Today’s Get Nerdy With Me is all about Legendborn Cycle cosplay inspiration. Because! All the midnight release parties and online events planned for Oathbound’s upcoming release on March 4th is giving us the exciting opportunity to dress up as characters from the series. Note: I subbed the red ribbon choker for a yellow one because Greer ends up squiring with Pete and the Line of Owain whose symbolic color is yellow.
Simple, meaningful touches you can wear with regular outfits:
(a) Show up with a merlin tattoo on your left forearm.
Lucky for us, we know exactly what this tattoo looks like, thanks to a descriptive book quote from Bloodmarked and a photo Tracy Deonn posted on instagram, back in 2022 when she was on tour for Bloodmarked.
The description from Bloodmarked, Chapter 10, page 104:
“When he turns the wheel, I notice that his left forearm bears the familiar mark of the Legendborn, but with the additional detail of black and gray mage flames pouring from the center of the four-pointed star. I’ve seen the same tattoo on Selwyn’s left forearm.”
